What should I expect when I visit or attend Fellowship of Praise?

We understand one of the most important decisions you can make is which church to visit. Visiting a church for the first time can be overwhelming, however we want to answer a few questions so your visit with us can be the best experience for you and your family.

What should I expect on my first visit?

You will be greeted at the front door by friendly greeters.  On Sunday mornings, Small Groups and Sunday School begin at 9:00 until 9:50.  Between 9:50 and 10:10 we have a time of “meet and greet” in our main lobby and there will always be some great coffee choices, sweets, fruit, and more.  One comment we always get from our connection cards is that people are impressed because of all the friendly people!  We want you to feel love when you walk in our doors!  Worship begins at 10:10.

What do I wear?

You’ll find everything from casual clothes to business suits at our Sunday services. In fact, in the summer months, you will even see shorts and flip flops.  Many of our visitors come from Santee State Park and also from Wyndam Resorts of Santee, and who brings dress clothes on vacation?  Wear what is comfortable for you because we are not concerned about what you look like or what you wear, we are just glad you are here!

Tell me what a worship service is like?

On Sunday mornings, the Praise Team begins worship[ at 10:10 with some great praise and worship music.  God has blessed us with talented musicians who play guitars, drums, organ and more and we also some awesome vocalists.  Many weeks you will hear contemporary songs and old hymns that you may have heard when you were growing up.  Pastor Ronnie is an excellent teacher who brings practical and relevant messages that will encourage and challenge you.

We have children, where should we take them?

We have an awesome infant and toddler nursery for all services, so if you have infants and toddlers,  please check them in Classroom # 2 on the right side of the lobby.  If you have a preschooler through 6th grader, they meet in Classroom # 5 for Sunday School beginning at 9:00.  Sunday School dismisses at 9:50 and this age child goes with their parents into the sanctuary to enjoy praise and worship.  We have Children’s Church every Sunday with the exception of the first Sunday of each month.  That Sunday is Family First and all pre-schoolers-6th graders stay in the sanctuary with their parents.  All other Sundays, the children leave the sanctuary after praise and worship and before the sermon.  They go back to Classroom # 5 for age appropriate Children’s Church.  You will pick your children up at this location when worship is over.

Will my children be safe?

Absolutely! You can be confident that your child is safe and in a loving, caring environment. Every FoP volunteer goes through an extensive background check.

What about my teenagers?

Our Youth For Christ, 7th-12th grade students, meet on Sunday mornings at 9 in Classroom # 1 on the left side of the lobby and also in the same classroom on Wednesday nights at 7:00.
