What should I expect when I visit or attend Fellowship of Praise?

We understand one of the most important decisions you can make is which church to visit. Visiting a church for the first time can be overwhelming, however we want to answer a few questions so your visit with us can be the best experience for you and your family.
What should I expect on my first visit? You will be greeted at the front door by friendly greeters.  On Sunday mornings, Small Groups and Sunday School begin at 9:00 until 9:50.  Between 9:50 and 10:10 we have a time of “meet and greet” in our main lobby.  One comment we always get from our connection cards is that people are impressed because of all the friendly people!  We want you to feel love when you walk in our doors!  Worship begins at 10:10. Stop by our Welcome Center at the center of our main lobby which is staffed by volunteers who can answer most any question or give you the information you might need.
What do I wear? You’ll find everything from casual clothes to business suits at our Sunday services.
Tell me what a worship service is like? On Sunday mornings, the Praise Team begins worship at 10:10 with some great praise and worship music.  God has blessed us with talented musicians who play guitars, drums, organ and more and we also some awesome vocalists.  Many weeks you will hear contemporary songs and old hymns that you may have heard when you were growing up.  Pastor Ronnie is an excellent teacher who preaches the Word!  He brings practical and relevant messages that will encourage and challenge you.
We have children, where should we take them? We have an awesome infant and toddler nursery for all services, so if you have infants and toddlers,  please check them in Classroom # 3 on the right side of the lobby.  If you have a preschooler through 5th grader, they meet in Classroom # 5 for Sunday School beginning at 9:00.  Sunday School dismisses at 9:50 and this age child goes with their parents into the sanctuary to enjoy praise and worship.
Will my children be safe? Absolutely! You can be confident that your child is safe and in a loving, caring environment. We have paid staff for our infants, preschool and children who have been through an extensive background checks.  All have years of experience caring for and teaching children. Your children are checked in and checked out at their classroom doors. Wearable tags are attached to the clothing of infants and toddlers to assist our staff with names, diaper bags, allergies and any other information they may need while in our care.  You will be notified in the sanctuary if any need arises.  We have safety/security people who regularly check on all classrooms. Our safety/security team is trained and many of them are volunteering using their profession.  That should make you feel safe.  We welcome you to peek in on your little ones at any time!
What about my teenagers? Our Youth, 6th-12th grade students, meet on Sunday mornings at 9.
